Green IT

As part of Green 2020's client offering, we focus heavily on managing the IT infrstructure and in particular the energy consumption that is associated with it.

We conduct audits for:

• Data Centres - Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) audits, energy audits, retrofitting, airflow management, risk management and virtualisation reviews.
• Desktop IT - PC and flat screen reviews, identification of auto power down and power up solutions, training and education, estate reviews
• Print Estate and print audit - review of the printer fleet, greening of the estate and reduction of power usage on dormant devices, remote power management and consumables reviews

Other areas tackled are the waste implications of old technologies and recycling of old equipment. We also involve organisations that specialise in environmental disposal by recycling or reusing equipment as part of charitable programmes with the primary aim of minimising waste to landfill.
